Mouse Monday Magical Seven – Movies to Watch Before Your Vacation

Welcome to Mouse Monday Magical Seven! This week we will examine the seven movies your family should watch or rewatch before their Disney World vacation!

Frozen

1. Frozen

Like it or not, Disney World is Frozen! With the new Frozen Ever After attraction opening this spring in Epcot, the Frozen Sing-Along at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the character Meet-and-Greets at Magic Kingdom, Epcot (this spring), and Hollywood Studios, it is safe to say that there are lots of Frozen elements throughout the parks and you should brush up on your Frozen knowledge if you haven’t already seen it 100+ times. Purchase Frozen Here

Beauty and the Beast

2. Beauty and the Beast

Before you head out to Disney World, you should probably refresh your knowledge of this tale as old as time. It’s fun to spot all the beautiful details at Be Our Guest Restaurant, Gaston’s Tavern, and Enchanted Tales with Belle at the Magic Kingdom. Plus you can always catch Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Purchase Beauty and the Beast Here

Pirates of the Caribbean

3. Pirates of the Caribbean

Inspired by the attraction in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl is a fun movie to watch before your trip; especially since Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa both turn up within the attraction. Jack appears in the attraction 3 times, can you spot them all? Purchase Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl Here

Finding Nemo

4. Finding Nemo

At Epcot, you can journey under the sea at The Seas with Nemo and Friends or meet Crush at Turtle Talk with Crush, so you might want to brush up on your Finding Nemo trivia. Plus with Finding Dory coming out this summer, it is definitely time to rewatch Finding Nemo. Purchase Finding Nemo Here

Star Wars

5. Star Wars Saga

Star Wars is in full force (pun intended) at Disney! With construction underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Star Wars Land, there are lots of reasons why it never hurts to catch up on the space opera. Currently at Disney World there is Star Tours where you can join in the adventures with over 50 different ride experiences. At Star Wars Launch Bay, you can meet Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, plus see movie props and play Star Wars themed games, like Disney Infinity 3.0! Purchase Star Wars: The Complete Saga Here

Toy Story

6. Toy Story

The characters of Toy Story pop up all over the parks. There is a Toy Story section at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, and attractions at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (plus there is a new Toy Story Land under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) so don’t forget to rewatch the Toy Story trilogy before your next Disney vacation! Purchase Toy Story 1-3 Here

The Little Mermaid

7. The Little Mermaid

Join Ariel under the sea at one of her two attractions at Walt Disney World, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom or Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Each attraction offers its own unique experience that takes you through the story of The Little Mermaid, so it doesn’t hurt to watch the movie again before you go! Purchase The Little Mermaid Here
